Though various historians disagree on the date, Sarah Nicole Jones was rumored to have been born sometime in the 1980's. Reports from this time in history are unreliable at best, but we do know that she comes from Louisiana - a planet just south of the Mason-Dixon line. Her family was 16th generation New Orleans, which meant she could trace her illustrious lineage back to the pirate and the *cough* harlot that founded that muggy bog.  

Faced with going into the family business of moonshining/swamp spelunking, she opted, instead, to strike out West. From this time, evidence suggests that she led a small band of Chilean rebel fighters to freedom, won the Nobel prized for nuclear fission and finished high school. Documents have recently come to light suggesting that Sarah then attended Loyola Marymount University, where she earned dual degrees in both Tom Foolery and Shenanigans.

Post-grad she found herself as a member of the NBC Page Program - made famous by Kenneth on the series 30 Rock. Afterwards, sources indicated, she then spent some time infiltrating the world of corporate production until Todd Sharp of Denver and Count Bruce of the House of Miller offered her a position on Eureka.  Her time at Eureka has been wonderful - where she has been lauded for her IT skills and being the only person in the office to have high-fived the pope. In the coming year she hopes to start and quit a variety of exotic hobbies including (but not limited to) - big game hunting, ancient Chinese calligraphy, underwater basket weaving, cooking, and world domination.

"Omega Girls" - Comment Post

We got trouble, right here in Eureka city...

...Trouble with a capital "T" and that rhymes with B and that stands for BEVERLY! Allison wasn't exactly herself this episode, and before anyone could do anything about it Beverly executed a shocking plan. Only Zoe and Jo can save the day in Salli Richardson-Whitfield's directing debut, a Eureka-fied take on those action thrilers we all love. Somewhere growing up in Arvada, Colorado, a very young Lynn [information redacted for security purposes]. Lynn survived [the event] with a great love for Scotland, the power to fly, and an insatiable appreciation for the powers of really good coffee.  And thus began Lynn’s double life as a supersecret superhero, GIRL!*  

As part of her cover story, Lynn became a wallflower who stayed mostly below the radar and only occasionally became a rocker chick when she was on stage with her band. She spent four years of her life at the University of Colorado and finally got her degree in creative writing before taking on the crazy city of Los Angeles with her husband Luke (also a superhero) some time in 2008.  It wasn’t until she hit the shores of LA that she realized that television was the world she was born to live in, and she hasn’t looked back since.  Her first job in the industry was as the writers intern on Smallville (superheroes must stick together, you know) and since then has been seen in various sets and offices, honing her ninja ways and nerf gun aim, all of which have served her quite well since she’s joined the Eureka writers office. As a huge fan of Eureka even before she joined the show, Lynn still is having trouble believing she really gets to work here every day.  J

In the future, GIRL!*plans to visit every continent at least twice, see a Broadway play in New York City on opening night, become the 12^th Doctor’s companion (with Luke), live in London for at least three months, become completely vegan, save the planet at least twice, win an Emmy, learn to surf, take a safari, and meet the President.  In the meantime, Lynn’s supersecret superhero double life will remain safely under wraps.

"Up in the Air" - Comment Post

Don't get too excited about that bank robbery yet, Sheriff...

Carter came this close to getting to investigate a normal, old-fashioned crime in this week's episode, like in his US Marshal days-- before he's reminded that nothing in Eureka is either normal or old-fashioned. We also had Jo and Zane taking their relationship to a new and perhaps surprising level, learned Something Important about Allison, and witnessed the gauntlet thrown down in the Parrish-Fargo-Holly triangle. UPDATE: We've seen the special preview video that'll be shown at the panel on Friday, and it will knock. Your. Socks. OFF.

It's baaaaa-aaaack! We're talking about Comic-Con, of course, the annual gathering at the San Diego Convention Center of fans and creators of comics, TV, movies, videogames, and a whole lot more.

This year Comic-Con runs July 21-24, and we can now officially announce that Eureka will be there as part of the Syfy family, with a panel and screening on Friday, July 22!

Here are the details for Friday's events with your favorite smart little town:

3:00pm – 4:00pm, Eureka panel

Small town. Big panel. Syfy’s smash hit Eureka  is back at Comic-Con. Colin Ferguson (Jack Carter), Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Allison Blake), Neil Grayston (Douglas Fargo) and guest star Felicia Day (Dr. Holly Marten) join executive producers Jaime Paglia and Bruce Miller for a chat about the big secrets of America’s smartest little town. Moderated by guest star Wil Wheaton (Dr. Isaac Parrish; Wesley Crusher, Star Trek: Next Generation). Ballroom 20.

And, we've also learned that Maryjane's at the Hard Rock Hotel across the street from the convention center will once again be transformed (perhaps by some kind of device Fargo invented?) into Cafe Diem!
