Although we recently aired our mid-season finale here in the United States, we wanted to bring you all a sneak peek at what our cast and crew are up to in Vancouver, hard at work on the last 10 episodes of season 4.
Right now we're finishing up production on episode 415, also known as the directorial debut of our own Salli Richardson-Whitfield!
Jaime is up on set this week and brought back this photographic evidence to share with you all. He reports that Salli wears the curlers while at the helm, which we assumed was so that her natural beauty doesn't distract anyone from her mad directing skillz. (It's actually because she has to be ready for her next take in front of the camera.)
Congratulations Salli! We can't wait to see the episode!
Apparently, we're not the only writing staff in the building who isn't above poking a little fun at the another show. Our friends downstairs at Dexter left a little surprise for us this morning.
Here it is in glorious close-up:
We have some big Dexter fans on our staff who are completely psyched about this. In the words of Executive Producer Bruce Miller: "Nothing makes a TV writer happier than having another TV writer pay attention to your show."
We are, of course, plotting our response. Carefully though. We don't want to end up in pieces in a swamp... or a bathtub.
Here at Eureka, we were very excited when The Event moved into the offices on the floor below us. The show's creator, Nick Wauters, used to be a Eurekan not too long ago and he has many friends still on staff here.
In honor of their marketing campaign, we put up a helpful sign. You know, in case they got lost in an unfamiliar building. :)
After a Labor Day hiatus, our mid-season finale premieres TONIGHT at 9pm/8pm Central! We've been loving all the speculations on what the episode may or may not hold. We can't wait for you to finally see what we've got in store.
While we can't give anything away, let's simply say that Season 4.0 has been one heck of a roller-coaster ride and this episode is no different. You are NOT going to want to miss this.
Trust us.
Going to be in the Atlanta area over Labor Day Weekend? Don't miss Dragon*Con-- we're not! Come by and hang with Carter, Jo, and Fargo: Colin Ferguson, Erica Cerra, and Neil Grayston will be there.
As we head into the home stretch for the first half of Season Four, a few questions have arisen about the episodes to come. Looking for answers? We got 'em!
Q: I saw a promo that said the next episode is the "season finale" -- did I hear that right?
A: It's the MID-season finale, not the season finale of season four. We still have 10 episodes left to air and, no, those episodes don't have airdates yet. But our money's on winter, spring, or summer. :)
Q: No episode this week?
A: Syfy is holding the mid-season finale until NEXT Friday, September 10th. Probably because of the Labor Day holiday and the fact that a lot of people are traveling.
Q: I heard rumors of a Christmas episode, is that the case?
A: Indeed! We're airing 9 episodes this summer, and our 10th episode is a Christmas special slated to air in December. The "back ten" as we call them will air sometime after the holiday.
Q: Will there be another marathon soon? I really want to catch up on the episodes I've missed!
A: Yes, there is an all-day marathon on the day of the finale, September 10th. Syfy will be airing the final few episodes of Season Three, and then every episode of Season Four to date leading into the finale.
