We've got a lot of stuff in store that longtime fans of the show will love, and at the same time Season 4 is the perfect season for new viewers to start watching. How do we pull it off? Find out July 9!
In the meantime, newcomers wanting to catch up on the show might feel a little daunted by the fact that there are three seasons of Eureka out there. Never fear. We've put together a helpful guide to get you briefed on our little genius-filled corner of Oregon.
You comfy on the couch? Got a snack? Great. How much time do you have?
All right. You have time to go beyond the basics, so add these three to your playlist.

I only have one night!
Don't panic. Here's the bare minimum: the first episode of Eureka and the most recent one.- "Pilot" - Season 1, Episode 1 - See where it all started! Ride along with Carter on his first day in Eureka when he meets Allison, Henry, Fargo, and Jo for the first time, and comes to know the town that will become his home.
- "What Goes Around Comes Around" - Season 3.5, Episode 18 - The Season 3.5 finale. See where we left off last year, setting up where we start this year. You may not know who some characters are, but at least you'll get to meet them.
All right. You have time to go beyond the basics, so add these three to your playlist.
- "E=MC…?" - Season 2, Episode 8 - Meet computer genius (and roguish pain in the rear) Zane, who arrives in Eureka just as the town comes down with a dangerous case of the stupids.
- "I Do Over" - Season 3, Episode 4 - It's Carter's worst day ever, and he gets to live it over and over again. Plus, Carter's foil Nathan Stark shows his true colors. This one still has fans talking.
- "You Don't Know Jack" - Season 3.5, Episode 16 - Get filled in all sorts of details with this episode, which includes clips from all the previous seasons. Plus, spend a little more time with Tess. Plus plus, Allison has her baby!
Now you're talking. If you've seen all the above episodes, you've met all our key characters, so now you can watch them face some of their biggest challenges...
- "Once in a Lifetime" - Season 1, Episode 12 - The Season 1 finale gives you a sweet and heartbreaking peek at the 2010 that could have been.
- "Noche de Suenos" - Season 2, Episode 6 - Allison will try almost anything to connect to her son Kevin, and we get Stark in a frilly shirt dueling a dashing Fargo for Jo's affection. AND Naked Carter. Win!
- "A Night at Global Dynamics" - Season 2, Episode 13 - Season 2 comes to a dramatic close as Carter and the gang face off with nefarious forces, including Global Dynamics itself.
- "Welcome Back Carter" - Season 3.5, Episode 9 - Carter fired and replaced by a robot? Say it ain't so! Meet Sheriff Andy.
- "Your Face or Mine" - Season 3.5, Episode 10 - Jo's in charge as Carter attempts to get re-certified. There's a smooch with Fargo. Buttons will be pushed.
- "Insane in the P-Brane" - Season 3.5, Episode 11 - People can't even meet cute in Eureka the normal way. No bumping into each other at a Starbucks here-- Tess and Carter have to solve a transdimensional dilemma. Of course.

*whine* Isn't there anyone who has the power to make Space Channel in Canada run the show concurrently with Syfy?

YES! I would also suggest Try Try Again. It's funny. My fav episode.

My suggestion? "Right as Raynes". This one always totally blows me away and puts tears in my eyes. THIS is where we first see Jack's growth and devotion as a parent, and the first hint of hidden depths to Stark. The overriding theme is fathers and their children and how far they'll go to protect them, even when it's destructive. Really well written, and some fantastic acting in this one from all the cast.

Some great episodes in there! Have to agree with MaryM, "Right as Raynes" is an absolutely beautifully written and acted episode!
Any truth to the quickly heating up 'net rumors that Ed Quinn will be back in Eureka for an episode?

Nice selection. I would also include "Shower the People" as it was pivotal to the Jack/Allison essentially going separate ways as well as Jack/Tess taking a big step forward.

Terrific additional recommendations from everyone!

Is this going to be when we see it in the UK?
I so love the series. I find it amazing that I have watched so many of the above episodes.
I so loved Noche De Suenos. Fargo had me in stiches.

I was also wondering about the previous scene...

You know what would be really terrific, guys? If SyFy would rebroadcast S1 & S2 sometime. Just, cause, you know, it would be nice. And because there are only so many times you can watch S3 before you change the channel....

Superb job you've completed here! Those experiences of you seem incredibly interesting as one can learn a great deal from it. Also may perhaps thank you for the pictures inside your web internet site. I normally hope myself could learn to take some gorgeous picture so that could keep much happy memory in this great way. Thank you once again guy! Wish you a great day!

Zane and Zoe? Seriously? It made me sick...kinda like it did to Jo. I felt so for her. Ack!
I was soooo not surprised to see Beverly (or Nathan in the previews.) Why? Well, for heaven's sake everyone! They are in a different time line now. Everything is back on the table! So, anything and ANYONE is possible again. No, I was not surprised at all. So of course, Jack and Allison will not have it easy.
But my Lord, Writers! Give Jo a break. Gotta say though that I'm glad that Erica has gotten a chance to show her other abilities (like how we got to see her sing sing last season), but dang!

Someone reported the sign to Starbucks after walking into Boulders Coffee Lounge, thinking it was part of the Seattle-based chain.
